Lodge Policies & Important Information

To preserve our facilities, protect the natural environment, and guarantee the experience of all guests, please review our policies. In nature tourism, true luxury is respect.

  • Reservation Confirmation: A 50% deposit is required to confirm and secure your reservation. This allows us to block your dates, coordinate private transportation, reserve birding destinations, guides, meals, and personalized logistics for your experience.

  • 30+ Days Before Arrival: 85% of the deposit paid may be refunded. A 15% administrative fee will be retained for coordination and reservation management.

  • 15–29 Days Before Arrival: The deposit becomes non-refundable, but may be converted into future travel credit valid for 12 months, subject to availability.

  • 8–14 Days Before Arrival: 50% of the deposit may be transferred as future travel credit.

  • 0–7 Days Before Arrival: No refunds or credits apply. At this stage, logistics, guides, transportation, meals, and private reservations have already been fully committed.

  • No-Show: Failure to arrive without prior notice results in 100% loss of the deposit.

  • Weather Policy: Birdwatching is a nature-based experience. Weather conditions are part of authentic wildlife travel and do not qualify for refunds. However, we will always adapt the itinerary to maximize the best possible experience.

  • Force Majeure: For extraordinary circumstances beyond the guest's control (e.g., serious medical emergencies, documented flight cancellations, government restrictions, or natural events), we may evaluate rescheduling options case by case.
  • In-Room Laundry is Prohibited: Washing any type of clothing in the room showers or sinks is strictly prohibited. For your convenience, we offer laundry service during your stay.

  • Outside Food & Beverages: To maintain our service standards, outside food and beverages are not allowed inside the lodge.

  • Respect for Nature: Please respect all native plants and animals. Do not litter. Keep noise to a minimum on the trails to avoid disturbing the birds and fellow guests.
  • Check-In: From 2:00 PM | Check-Out: By 12:00 PMYou are welcome to enjoy common areas after check-out, unless otherwise indicated.


  • Latest Arrival Time: 8:00 PM. Please notify us via WhatsApp if you expect to arrive later.

  • Quiet Hours: From 9:00 PM onward, please keep noise to a minimum in common areas to respect everyone’s rest.

  • Restaurant Hours: 

    • Breakfast (8:00 AM – 10:00 AM)
    • Lunch (12:00 PM – 2:00 PM)
    • Dinner (6:30 PM – 7:30 PM).
  • Please let us know in advance if you require lunch at a different time due to tours.

  • Pool Access: Open Daily from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Swimsuits are required.

Pets are welcome with prior authorization and proper care.

  • Additional fee: 25 USD ($79,000 COP) per night.

  • Pets are strictly not allowed on beds or furniture.

  • Owners are fully responsible for cleaning up after their animals.
  • Children & Minors: Minors are allowed only when accompanied by a responsible adult or legal guardian. Important: In accordance with Article 17 of Law 679 of 2001, the sexual exploitation and abuse of minors is a criminal offense in Colombia.


  • Right of Admission: We reserve the right of admission to maintain a safe and harmonious environment.


  • Parking: Private, secure parking is available on-site for our guests.

To preserve our standards, the following penalties will be applied and charged directly to the guest’s account or credit card on file in case of non-compliance:

  • $220 USD Penalty: Imposed for major infractions such as bringing outside food/beverages or washing clothes in the rooms.


  • $80 USD Penalty: Imposed for pet-related incidents (waste left on floors/beds, or chewing/scratching damage to linens or property).


  • $40 USD Penalty: Imposed for the consumption of unauthorized outside alcohol in common areas.


Respect for Nature & Our Community


Please respect all native plants and animals. Do not litter—use the designated recycling points. Keep noise to a minimum on the trails to avoid disturbing the birds and fellow guests.
